Kinja'd!!!

Had it happened just once, I'd let it slide. Had it happened twice but several days apart, no biggie. Right?

But last night, and this morning on the way in, the same fucking thing happened to me.

Warning, context to follow.

Both times I was driving in the right lane, following another car with a safe cushion of space in front of me, travelling at the speed limit or slightly above. Both times, there was NO CAR BEHIND ME for several hundred feet. Both times a car was attempting to merge at a speed HIGHER than mine (remember, I'm doing the limit/slightly above) coming down the ramp from BEHIND me. If they had been ahead of me at any of the time, there would be no issue. I would have let them in.

But they were behind me the whole time, and in my mind (correct me if I'm wrong) they should have merged into traffic BEHIND me, adjusting their speed to match the flow of traffic. Right? WRONG. They zoomed past me, cut me off, then hammered the brake to avoid hitting the car in front of me. No, no, no, NO, NO! Assholes. Both of them.

And the one last night was a fucking CAMRY.

Had Toyota not already done it, I'd have grounded that fucker to the ground.

Yeah, they should have merged behind you and then proceeded to drive off a cliff and the next available opportunity to rid us of their asshat presence.

Fucking Camry drivers, amirite?

He was in a vintage of Camry similar to mind. And had I been driving MY Camry, I might have as well. It's my I Ain't Care beater.

At least your ain't care beater has a stick. And the fact that you like it matters. I can't stand people who don't have any care in the world for driving, and the way they drive reflects that mindset.

It needs struts. It's gotten worse from sitting the past three months. My like for it is lessened by having to shell out a couple hundred bucks and several hours of time to make it not scary again. Soon...

Is there an exit down a ways? Maybe they thought that lane ran to the exit only to find out too late it didn't. While there is really no excuse for cutting someone off and slamming on your brakes, sometimes shit happens.

In both cases, nope.

Well that's one of those times I'd rather be in my F250, people seem to just move out of the way or give me room in it. Love driving it in congested traffic.

My P71 with pushbar was the same way. People seemed to think twice about cutting me off.

And passing me. Weird.

This is one of the thing that piss me off the most at traffic!

ONe time, in a jammed road, one asshole tryed to cut through the shoulder and enter the line in front of me.

Now the fun part... the traffic was almost stopping, so my velocity was about 10km/h. I started to tailgate the car in front of me, so the wise guy can't get in. Instead of braking, the shit head started to force his way in, but I didn't back up. He ended in a ditch.

I would hold fast but sometimes people have the look that they don't care about their own car and will only end up with me upset

That is just about the worst. I had some cut me off recently while driving my GTI; he also brake checked me immediately afterward (he had over a carlength ahead of him at 20mph or so). Wished I'd been in my Jeep; a bit of old Chrysler metal on top of your Passat does wonders for settling you down.

Yes, you're right. Asshole.

On a somewhat related note though, not enough people understand the importance of a zipper merge (I'm looking at you semi-rural midwest construction zones).

I hate that shit. And, for me, it always seems to happen when I'm either on a motorcycle or driving my beloved 911, so I really have no choice but to yield to protect myself/my car. :(
